Multi-Vehicle Crash Harbor 110 Freeway, Slauson Avenue in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (May 1, 2026) — A multi-vehicle crash happened Friday on the northbound Harbor 110 Freeway near Slauson Avenue in Los Angeles, causing traffic delays due to lane closures, CHP officials said.
The collision was reported on May 1st around 10:22 a.m. and involved at least three vehicles, including a black Scion xB and a black BMW X5. Initial reports indicated the crash was blocking the No. 2 lane, with additional updates noting both the No. 1 and No. 2 lanes were obstructed shortly after.
California Highway Patrol units responded to the scene and initiated a traffic break to allow emergency personnel to access the crash site safely. Fire crews were also dispatched and worked to reach the vehicles on the right shoulder as traffic backed up in the area.
By approximately 10:36 a.m., officials confirmed three vehicles were involved and had been moved toward the right shoulder, easing congestion. A tow truck was requested, with American Eagle Tow responding to clear the damaged vehicles.
The vehicles were later reported off the freeway near the Vernon area, and freeway service patrol units closed out the incident shortly after 11:10 a.m.
No immediate information regarding injuries has been released. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
