3-Vehicle Collision on State Route 163 in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (March 21, 2025) — A multi-vehicle crash happened Friday morning on southbound Highway 163 at the Balboa Avenue off-ramp in the Kearny Mesa area of San Diego.
Three vehicles were involved in the suspected DUI collision reported at 7:42 a.m. on March 21st to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials were told a blue Nissan Versa, a silver sedan, and a black Lexus were involved and were blocking the right lane of the highway.
Paramedics transported at least one person to Sharp Memorial Medical Center in unknown condition and a blood tech was requested to determine if alcohol was a factor in the crash.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the crash on Highway 163 in Kearny Mesa.
