Semi-Truck Involved in 6-Vehicle Chain-Reaction Crash
MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (August 27, 2024) — A multi-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck happened Tuesday on Highway 41 at Avenue 12 in Madera County.
The collision occurred at 7:33 a.m. on August 27th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, a Volkswagen Atlas, a Nissan, a white Lexus, a semi-truck, and a white Honda Accord were involved.
Investigators reported the semi-truck came upon stopped traffic on Highway 41 at the Avenue 12 stop light. The driver was unable to stop and crashed into the back of the Honda, setting off a chain-reaction collision involving the other motorists.

The cause of the accident and liability will be determined.
