4-Vehicle Car Accident on El Dorado Freeway
ROSEMONT, Calif. (Feb. 6, 2024) — A multi-vehicle crash that resulted in major injuries happened Tuesday on Highway 50 also known as El Dorado Freeway in Rosemont.
The four-vehicle collision occurred at around 7:35 a.m. on Feb. 6, 2024, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP received an automatic message from an iPhone reporting a “severe traffic collision,” the report said.
It happened in the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes of Highway 50 under the Mayhew Road bridge, the CHP reports. Paramedics responded to help at least one person with major injuries and transport them to Sutter Medical Center in downtown.
Meanwhile, two of the vehicles were towed from the crash scene due to damage.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the Highway 50 crash in Rosemont.
