Multi-Vehicle Crash on the Interstate 15 Freeway in Wheaton Springs
SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, Calif. (August 31, 2022) — A multi-vehicle car accident on the Interstate 15 Freeway happened Wednesday afternoon in the Wheaton Springs area, just east of Mountain Pass.
The crash occurred in the southbound lanes about 12:45 p.m. on August 31st, just west of the California-Nevada border, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a white Ford Focus, a Jeep Cherokee SUV and a semi-truck were involved. The vehicles blocked a few lanes on the freeway. Meanwhile, an involved semi-truck continued driving and failed to stop.
Meanwhile, a person from one of the vehicles collapsed and was unresponsive.
Finally, investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the Murrieta crash.
