Several Vehicles Collide on the Interstate 405 Freeway
WESTCHESTER, Calif. (August 9, 2022) — A crash on the Interstate 405 Freeway happened Tuesday afternoon near Howard Hughes Parkway in the Westchester area of Los Angeles.
The crash occurred in the northbound lanes about 12:31 p.m. on August 9th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials say the drivers of a black Sprinter van, a white Toyota Prius, a white Tesla and possibly, other vehicles, collided due to unknown circumstances in the HOV and No. 1 lanes of the I-405.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene and located at least one person who was in and out of consciousness following the collision. It’s unknown how many were taken to a hospital.
Two of the damaged vehicles were towed from the freeway.
Also, investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the Westchester crash.
