4-Vehicle Crash on I-580 in Livermore
LIVERMORE, Calif. (August 22, 2023) — A four-vehicle car accident happened Tuesday morning on the eastbound Interstate 580 Freeway at North Livermore Avenue off ramp.
The multi-vehicle collision occurred about 1:23 p.m. on August 22nd in the slow lanes, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The drivers of a blue Tesla Model Y, a grey Toyota Tundra pickup truck, a white Honda HRV and a white Ford sedan were involved. It’s unknown at this time what led to the chain-reaction collision, but police are on the scene.
Also, paramedics responded to help those hurt in the crash, but the injuries were classified as minor.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed several of the damaged vehicles from the freeway including the pickup truck with major front-end damage and the Tesla with both front and rear-end damage.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Livermore crash on the 580 Freeway.
