Motorcyclist Injured in Multi-Vehicle Accident
PINOLE, Calif. (Sept. 13, 2023) — A multi-vehicle crash on the westbound Interstate 80 Freeway happened Wednesday morning, just west of Pinole Valley Road.
A motorcyclist was injured in the collision around 7:16 a.m. on Sept. 13th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported one or two motorcycles were involved in a collision with one or two Tesla vehicles.
One of the motorcycle riders wend down in the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes and suffered injuries. The rider managed to get to the center divide area where a witness told CHP dispatch operators the person was bleeding from their face.
Paramedics responded to help all those injured in the collision.
Meanwhile, tow trucks responded to remove the damaged vehicles including a motorcycle. The bike’s front end became detached from the rest of the bike following the crash.
Investigators are working on the case to determine which motorist or motorists were at fault for the collision.
