SAN PABLO, Calif. (March 10, 2023) — A multi-vehicle crash on the eastbound Interstate 80 Freeway happened Friday morning near the San Pablo Dam Road off ramp.
Paramedics with the Contra Costa County Fire Department responded and transported at least one person to Kaiser hospital in Richmond.
The drivers of a black Nissan Versa sedan, a gray Lexus 300 and a black Hyundai sedan were among more than six vehicles involved in the crash.
Also, one person was reportedly detained after leaving the crash scene, police said.
Additionally, a woman suffered a head injury and possibly a fractured leg and was transported to the hospital.
At least four of the vehicles required tow truck to remove them from the freeway.
Meanwhile, investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the multi-vehicle crash on the Interstate 80 Freeway in the San Pablo area.
