Woman Hurt in Highway 101 Car Accident
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (August 4, 2023) — A multi-vehicle crash on Highway 101 in Santa Barbara happened Tuesday afternoon near the State Street off ramp.
The injury crash happened before 2:30 p.m. on August 1st in the southbound lanes of the freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A woman driving one of the vehicles was rear-ended at high speed by one of the other two vehicles involved, according to a report by Noozhawk.
The woman suffered injuries in the crash. The Santa Barbara City Fire Department responded and transported her by ambulance to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
At this time, there are no further details about the crash on Highway 101 in Santa Barbara.
The crash remained under investigation by the CHP.
