Elderly Man Hosptialized After Collision Near Cold Spring Bridge
Santa Barbara County, CA (February 26, 2023) – Three people, including two pregnant women, suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on State Route Highway 154.
The KSBY News reported several vehicles crashed into each other on SR-154 along the Cold Spring Bridge. Officials said the multi-vehicle collided took place Sunday morning, February 26.
Major Car Accident on Highway 154 in Santa Barbara County
When rescue teams arrived at the scene, they found a semi truck and seven other cars of unknown make and model disabled on the highway. Medical personnel responded to the location shortly after 8:15 a.m. Paramedics said they checked the conditions of all the occupants in the eight vehicles. After the evaluation, emergency crews rushed three victims to the hospital for further treatment and evaluation. Authorities only described the patients as an elderly man, and pregnant women. The names of the people hurt, and the extent of their injuries remained undisclosed.
Investigators believed the icy road conditions played a role in the collision. At this time, detectives continue to work to determine liability in the traffic accident that happened on Highway 154 in Santa Barbara County.
