Head-on Crash on Highway 49 in Alta Sierra
ALTA SIERRA, Calif. (Nov. 9, 2022) — A head-on crash involving three vehicles happened Wednesday morning on State Route Highway 49 at Lime Kiln Road in Alta Sierra.
The major injury crash occurred in the northbound lanes of Highway 49 about 8:08 a.m. on Nov. 9th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the driver of a white pickup truck “slid out of control” and collided with a red sedan and a third vehicle.
At least one person suffered major injuries in the crash and required an ambulance.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed at least one of the vehicles from the roadway due to heavy damage.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault.
