NEWHALL, Calif. (July 6, 2023) — A multi-vehicle crash on the southbound Interstate 5 Freeway happened Thursday near the 14 Freeway transition in Newhall.
The collision occurred around 3:45 a.m. on July 6th, just past Calgrove Boulevard, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
A driver in a pickup truck reportedly crashed into the center divider and came to a stop between two freeway lanes. Two other vehicles became involved and collided with each other and possibly the truck.
Paramedics responded, but it’s unknown how many were injured in the crash on the Interstate 5 Freeway.
Tow trucks removed the vehicles and debris from the roadway.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the crash on the 5 Freeway in Newhall.
