4-Vehicle Crash on State Route 91 in Riverside
RIVERSIDE, Calif. (April 13, 2022) — A pickup truck overturned in a multi-vehicle crash on the eastbound Riverside (91) Freeway, just west of Arlington Avenue.
The crash happened about 6:45 a.m. on April 13th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A driver in a white pickup truck hauling building materials overturned onto its side in the HOV lane. Several others including a white Honda Civic, a red Hyundai sedan and a blue pickup truck collided with the overturned pickup.
Paramedics with the Riverside Fire Department responded to help those hurt in the crash, but there were no serious injuries.
Meanwhile, Caltrans sent cleanup crews to the freeway and ordered a hard closure.
Investigators are working to determine liability for the crash.
At least two tow trucks responded for the white pickup and the white Honda Civic.
