San Diego Crashes on SR-52 in the Tierrasanta Area
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (Nov. 1, 2022) – Two multi-vehicle collisions on state Route 52 happened early Tuesday in the Tierrasanta area of San Diego.
The collisions led to heavy traffic in the busy morning commute, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.
As many as four vehicles are involved in the initial collision just before 4:15 a.m. in the westbound lanes of State Route 52 at the transition ramp to northbound Interstate 15 Freeway.
Meanwhile, there was a second collision about an hour later at 5:30 a.m. that was also in the westbound lanes of SR-52, but this one was several miles from the ramp to Interstate 15, the CHP said.
Authorities closed down the transition ramp to the I-15, but that impacted traffic in the area.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault.
