4-Vehicle Collision on SR-78 in Vista
VISTA, Calif. (July 17, 2024) — A major injury crash in happened Wednesday morning on State Route 78, just east of Melrose Drive in Vista, California.
The four-vehicle collision occurred at around 9:36 a.m. on July 17th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a red pickup truck, a black sedan, and two silver sedans collided on the eastbound side of the highway.
Meanwhile, paramedics responded and found one person trapped in a vehicle who was taken by ambulance to a hospital with major injuries. It’s unknown how many people in total were hurt in the accident.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the Vista crash on State Route 78.
