Major Injury Crash at Steiner Drive and 47th Avenue in Lemon Hill Area
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (May 25, 2022) — A major injury crash involving four vehicles happened Wednesday afternoon at 47th Avenue and Steiner Drive in the Lemon Hill area of south Sacramento.
The head-on crash happened around 2 p.m. near 47th Avenue and Steiner Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol. The drivers of a dark blue Maserati, a dark-colored minivan, a black SUV and a truck were involved.
It’s unknown what led up to the crash at this time, but one of those involved overturned and a person was ejected from the vehicle. Another vehicle caught on fire after the crash.
Firefighters responded and put out the flames.
Paramedics transported at least one person with major injuries to a hospital. Others suffered minor injuries from the crash.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault.
The CHP dispatch reports the Sacramento Police Department is seeking to find out if road rage between the Maserati and a black SUV was a factor that led to the crash.
