Semi-Truck, SUV Crash on Ventura 101 Freeway
VENTURA, Calif. (August 16, 2022) — A multi-vehicle crash on the Ventura (101) Freeway happened Tuesday morning, just south of Victoria Avenue in Ventura.
The collision occurred on the northbound 101 about 7:28 a.m. on August 16th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a Mitsubishi Mirage sedan, a white flatbed pickup truck and a semi-truck were involved. The Mitsubishi suffered moderate, left-side damage in the crash. The other vehicles had major front-end and rear-end damage, police said.
The vehicles blocked the Nos. 2 and 3 lanes of the freeway, but the semi-truck pulled over near the exit as its driver wasn’t able to stop at the scene without blocking the roadway, police said.
The Ventura County Fire Department responded to the scene to help those injured in the crash, but there are no specific details.
