4-Vehicle Crash on Ventura (101) Freeway in Encino
ENCINO, Calif. (April 21, 2022) — A multi-vehicle Encino crash on the southbound Ventura (101) Freeway happened Thursday morning near Hayvenhurst Avenue.
The 4-vehicle collision occurred about 4:23 a.m. on April 20th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Three of the vehicles were totaled in the collision, police said.
A blue Lexus RX350 was blocking the middle lanes with left, front-end damage, a sedan had major rear-end damage on its left side and a minivan had major front-end damage on its right side. The three vehicles also had their airbags deployed.
A woman was in the backseat of a vehicle unresponsive, but breathing following the wreck, the report said.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded and transported the woman to a hospital with undisclosed injuries.
Police issued a SigAlert due to the collision.
Also, investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the Encino crash on the 101 Freeway.
