Suspected DUI Crash on Highway 99 in Fowler
FOWLER, Calif. (Nov. 23, 2022) — A multi-vehicle crash on the northbound Highway 99 at Manning Avenue happened Wednesday morning in Fowler.
The crash occurred about 3 a.m. on Nov. 23rd at the Fowler intersection, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials say a suspected DUI driver is involved in the collision.
A truck involved in the collision overturned and at least one person became trapped inside.
Fresno County Fire crews responded and extricated the person before taking them to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Meanwhile, at least two others from the other two vehicles suffered minor injuries in the wreck.
Police closed down the northbound lanes of Highway 99 for about an hour to clean up debris, remove the vehicles and investigate the cause of the crash.
During the preliminary investigation, CHP officials determined one driver was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol and or drugs.
The unidentified motorist was arrested, but there are no further details.
