3-Vehicle Accident Involving Tow Truck on State Route 91

LONG BEACH, Calif. (Nov. 27, 2023) — A tow truck, van and car were involved in a Long Beach crash Monday morning on the Artesia 91 Freeway near Cherry Avenue.

The three-vehicle collision occurred at around 4:42 a.m. on Nov. 27th, according to the California Highway Patrol. The drivers of a tow truck, a white van and a car or SUV collided in the westbound HOV lane of the 91 Freeway, the report said.

The Long Beach Fire Department responded to help at least one person with injuries from the collision, but there are no further details.

Meanwhile, tow trucks removed at least two of the vehicles from the roadway.

Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Long Beach crash on the 91 Freeway.
