Multi-Vehicle Motorcycle Accident on 210 Freeway, I-15 in Fontana

FONTANA, Calif. (May 6, 2026) — A motorcycle rider was injured in a collision involving multiple vehicles on the westbound Interstate 210 connector to Interstate 15 on Wednesday morning in Fontana, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported on May 6th at approximately 7:39 a.m. near the I-15 interchange. Initial reports indicated a blue motorcycle collided with a white van, though subsequent updates described the incident as involving a motorcycle and an SUV, with witnesses reporting high speeds by one of the motorists prior to the crash.

Authorities said the rider was found down in the roadway, at one point lying in the carpool (HOV) lane, while the motorcycle remained in the same lane. The crash blocked at least the HOV and No. 1 lanes, causing significant traffic disruption during the early morning commute.

Emergency crews, including CHP officers and fire personnel, arrived on scene shortly after the initial reports. A tow truck was requested to remove damaged vehicles.

Investigators also received information that a gray Chevrolet Silverado or GMC Sierra pickup truck may have been involved in causing the crash. According to reports, two men possibly fled the scene, and a witness was able to provide a photograph of a license plate believed to be connected to the vehicle.

By about 8:20 a.m., all lanes were reopened to traffic. The condition of the motorcyclist has not been released.

The incident remains under investigation, including the possibility of a hit-and-run.
