Pile-up Crash on Highway 101

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. (July 7, 2023) — Several people were injured in a multi-vehicle Mountain View crash on Highway 101, just south of the Shoreline Boulevard off ramp.

The collision occurred in the northbound lanes around 8:35 a.m. on July 7th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The drivers of a white Mercedes Benz SUV, a blue Honda sedan, a white Dodge Charger, a Tesla Model Y and a white Toyota RAV4 SUV were among six involved, the report said.

Paramedics responded and transported at the injured to hospitals, but there were no further details. One person from the Mercedes was among the injured, but there were no further details.

CHP officials reported the Dodge, the Honda and the Mercedes all had major front-end damage and the Tesla was facing the wrong way and missing its right rear tire.

Tow trucks removed at least five of the vehicles from the freeway.

Meanwhile, investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Mountain View crash on Highway 101.
