6-Vehicle Collision at Newhall Intersection
NEWHALL, Calif. (Sept. 12, 2023) — Six vehicles were involved in a suspected DUI crash Saturday at Railroad Avenue and 8th Street in Newhall.
Two people were injured in the fiery, traffic accident around 9:40 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12th, according to Hometown Station.
Paramedics and police responded to the scene of the collision and transported two people to hospitals in unknown condition, according to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station watch deputy.
One of the six motorists fled the scene and authorities later caught up with the driver. The person was arrested on alleged drunk driving charges roughly two blocks from the crash scene, police said.
Meanwhile, the name of the suspect was not released.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the crash.
