Traffic Accident on Interstate 880 Freeway
Oakland, Calif. (Oct. 24, 2023) — A multi-vehicle Oakland crash happened Tuesday on the Interstate 880 Freeway at 98th Avenue.
The collision occurred at around 8:34 a.m. on Oct. 24th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a black Chevrolet Tahoe SUV and a black Lexus S200 were involved. They collided due to unknown circumstances in the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes of the freeway.
The Tahoe was reportedly smoking from its engine after the collision and sustained major front-end damage, the report said.
Paramedics responded to help at least one person with minor injuries from the accident.
Meanwhile, a tow truck removed the Tahoe from the freeway.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Oakland crash on the 880 Freeway.
