4-Vehicle Collision on State Route 70
OROVILLE, Calif. (Feb. 14, 2024) — A four-vehicle car accident in Oroville happened Wednesday afternoon at Highway 70 and Ophir Road.
A post on Facebook from the CHP – Oroville reported the collision at approximately 12:03 p.m. on State Route 70 and Ophir Road.
Authorities investigating the crash say a northbound vehicle traveling at “high speed” on the rain-soaked highway “attempted a right turn into Ophir Road.” The motorist collided with three others at the intersection, police said.
Paramedics from CAL FIRE/Butte County and Butte County emergency medical services responded to help those hurt, but fortunately there were no major injuries.
CHP-Oroville deputies are working on the case and will determine fault for the Oroville crash on Highway 70.
