5 Injured in Los Feliz Crash During Pursuit
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (April 18, 2022) – A 3-vehicle crash on Western Avenue near Franklin Avenue left five people injured early Monday morning in the Los Feliz area.
The multi-vehicle crash happened about 1:16 a.m. on April 18th during a police pursuit. The vehicles crashed in front of at 1868 N. Western Ave., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Police pursued a suspect whose vehicle collided with two other vehicles near the intersection, the LAFD said. One of the vehicles involved was a pickup truck driven by a public utility worker. fire officials said.
Three people suffered serious injuries and two others had minor-to-moderate injuries, the LAFD said. There were no law enforcement officers among those hurt in the collision.
Police closed down the intersection of Western and Franklin avenues to investigate the crash.
