Minor-Injury Crash on Highway 99 in Sacramento
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (June 6, 2018) — At least one person suffered minor injuries Wednesday morning in a collision on the northbound state Route Highway 99, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision was reported about 9:07 a.m. this morning at the Fruitridge Road East on ramp. Five or six motorists were involved and one fled the scene. Three vehicles were blocking traffic lanes including a black sedan that was sideways in the roadway, an SUV in the No. 2 lane and a white sedan in the No. 3 lane. The vehicles were described as a dark blue Subaru Forrester, a silver Honda Pilot and a black Chevrolet Malibu.
A suspect in a white truck fled the scene, leaving behind at least one person with injuries.
Sacramento Accident Investigation
Police are investigating this collision in an effort to determine who is at fault. At this time, we do not know what led to the crash and whether or not one or several drivers are responsible. It’s unknown whether or not the suspect who fled will be caught by police.
