Several Vehicles Collide on Interstate 8 West at I-15

San Diego, CA (March 13, 2025) – A multi-vehicle collision occurred Thursday morning in San Diego at the interchange of I-8 West and I-15 East, involving at least four vehicles. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to the scene, where a silver Mazda CX-5 was involved in the crash with multiple other vehicles.

The incident, reported around 6:50 AM, caused a significant blockage in the No. 3 lane, police said. Meanwhile, emergency responders were at the scene to help those injured including a woman with a leg injury from a red Ford Edge SUV. Tow trucks were requested for the damaged vehicles, with Bulldog Tow on the way.

At the time of the report, CHP confirmed that two lanes were open, but traffic remained affected as cleanup and investigation continued. The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Drivers are advised to expect delays in the area.
