Crash on I-15 Freeway in San Diego Near University Ave
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (Jan. 4, 2021) — A multi-vehicle San Diego crash happened Tuesday afternoon on the Interstate 15 Freeway near University Avenue.
The Interstate 15 Freeway crash, involving as many as six motorists, happened about 2:47 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a gray Chevrolet Camaro, a gray Toyota Camry and a red Hyundai were among the vehicles that collided on the freeway, just north of the University Avenue exit.
It’s unknown what led up to the collision on the southbound I-15 Freeway at this time, but paramedics responded to help those hurt in the crash. Police have not mentioned how many people suffered injuries or if anyone was taken to the hospital.
Meanwhile, investigators are working to determine fault for the crash on the Interstate 15 Freeway.
