Pileup Crash on State Route 99 in Selma

SELMA, Calif. (Nov. 27, 2023) — A multi-vehicle car accident in Selma happened Monday on Highway 99, just south of the Second Street off ramp.

The collision involving at least four vehicles occurred on the northbound side of State Route 99 at around 9:32 a.m. on Nov. 27th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The drivers of a red Toyota Corolla, a white pickup truck, a blue SUV and a silver sedan were involved in the traffic accident, police said.

It’s unknown what led up to the vehicles colliding in the No. 1 lane of State Route 99. At least one person had complaints of pain and another had minor injuries, police said.

Tow trucks removed at least two of the vehicles including the red Toyota due to major front-end damage.

Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the crash.
