5-Vehicle Crash on I-680 in Sunol
SUNOL, Calif. (Sept. 8, 2023) — A multi-vehicle Sunol car accident happened on the southbound Interstate 680 Freeway at State Route 84.
Five vehicles were involved in the collision reported at 9:47 a.m. on Sept. 8th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a Mercury Cougar sedan, a black Nissan SUV, a white Volkswagen, a black Kia Forte and one other motorist were involved in the accident.
Paramedics responded to treat at least one person with minor injuries.
Several vehicles including the Volkswagen and the Kia were towed after the crash. The Volkswagen had front-end damage and the Kia had rear-end damage.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the Sunol accident on the 680 Freeway.
