Semi-trucks, SUV Crash on Highway 99 in Chowchilla
CHOWCHILLA, Calif. (Nov. 1, 2022) — A multi-vehicle truck accident on Highway 99 happened Monday afternoon, just south of Avenue 21 1/2 near Chowchilla.
The collision occurred after three big rig trucks and an SUV collided due to unknown circumstances, according to the California Highway Patrol – Madera.
One of the semi-trucks reportedly overturned on its side during the collision. Meanwhile, a second truck was pushed towards the railroad tracks. The third one apparently lost part of its front-end.
Paramedics responded to help those suffering from minor injuries.
The CHP Madera sent deputies to the scene where they guided traffic to the No. 1 lane because the other lanes were blocked.
