Truck Accident in Agoura Hills
AGOURA HILLS, Calif. (Aug. 3, 2023) — Three vehicles including two semi-trucks and an SUV were involved in a truck accident in Agoura Hills Thursday morning on the westbound 101 Freeway.
The multi-vehicle collision occurred around 1:10 a.m. on August 3rd, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials responded to the scene and located one semi-truck jackknifed and blocking the freeway, KTLA 5 News reports, along with a second truck and a dark-colored SUV overturned on its side. A witness reported seeing one of the trucks and the SUV collided, followed by a collision involving the second truck.
Authorities closed down a portion of the roadway just west of Chesebro Road and also issued a SigAlert due to the cleanup and investigation.
Both trucks sustained major front-end damage and the third vehicle wound up overturned in the vegetation on the side of the freeway.
Paramedics responded and took one person to a hospital in an ambulance.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances leading up to the collisions and will determine fault.
