Girl, 14, Critically Injured in Bicycle Accident
MURRIETA, Calif. (May 17, 2023) — A driver struck a teenager riding a bicycle in an accident on Pourroy Road Tuesday afternoon in unincorporated Murrieta, Riverside County.
The traffic accident occurred at 3:46 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16th in the 37300 block of Pourroy Road, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
A driver in a blue Dodge Ram pickup truck reportedly struck the 14-year-old French Valley girl as she rode her bicycle on Pourroy Road. Paramedics responded and due to major injuries, she was airlifted to a trauma center for further treatment.
Meanwhile, the pickup truck driver stopped and cooperated with the police investigation.
The California Highway Patrol is heading up the investigation into liability for the bicycle accident on Pourroy Road.
