1 Injured in Murrieta Hit-and-Run on 215 Freeway Near Los Alamos
LOS ANGELES, CA (January 19, 2022) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash on the 215 Freeway near Los Alamos Road in Murrieta.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Wednesday evening. Officers reported the wreck at about 7:19 p.m.
The incident happened when a sedan and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason in Murrieta. The two crashed on the southbound 215 Freeway, just north of Los Alamos Road.
2 Vehicles Collide
CHP added that the car went off the roadway and slammed into a tree in the area. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel found an occupant of the sedan who ended up hurt as a result of the collision. They treated the victim for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the wreck.
The report did not disclose the name of the wounded patient and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the other driver did not stop to help and fled the area.
Officers forced the southbound lanes of the 215 Freeway to shut down near Los Alamos following the incident. The cause of the Murrieta hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
