At Least 1 Hurt in Traffic Accident on Corona Freeway Sunday
Murrieta, CA (December 1, 2021) – A suspected hit-and-run collision occurred on Interstate 15, also known as Corona Freeway, on November 28.
The California Highway Patrol group reported an accident involving two vehicles took place in the northbound side of the freeway. Officials said the crash took place near Murrieta Hot Springs Road.
CHP logged the case at about 4:37 p.m.
When emergency crews arrived at the site, they found a gray Nissan Altima disabled on the right-hand shoulder of the freeway. Responding paramedics immediately attended to the occupants of the Nissan. Per accident dispatch, at least one person suffered injuries as a result of the wreck. Authorities continue to withhold the name and age of the victim pending confirmation.

Meanwhile, officials mentioned the second vehicle involved in the collision fled the scene. Our sources described the suspect vehicle as a dark-colored Infiniti SUV. Detectives continue to work at this time to identity and locate the hit-and-run suspect.
