MURRIETA (January 9, 2017)- According to the Press-Enterprise, a deadly accident resulted in the death of a man ID’ed as Julian Martinez, 23, of Chula Vista.
The incident took place on the southbound Interstate 215 freeway at roughly 8:22 p.m.
Per the article, Martinez was the driver of a vehicle that became disabled for unknown reasons within northbound lanes I-215. The 23-year-old man quickly exited his vehicle and hopped over the center divider before being struck by a 2004 Infiniti initially followed by three additional vehicles.

CHP officials confirmed that all four motorists who struck the victim remained at the scene.
Police officials do not believe that drugs or alcohol were involved, however, several factors remain under investigation before that can be confirmed.
