Pedestrian Injured in Crash at Murrieta Hot Springs and Townview
MURRIETA, CA (June 3, 2022) – A pedestrian was hospitalized after a crash at Murrieta Hot Springs Road and Townview Avenue in Murrieta.
The Riverside County Fire Department first logged the incident on Wednesday night. Officers reported the collision at about 8:15 p.m.
The accident happened on June 1 when a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in an unincorporated area of Murrieta.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
The driver hit the person at the intersection of Murrieta Hot Springs Road and Townview Avenue. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Cal Fire said they found the victim who ended up suffering from head trauma as a result of the collision. A helicopter took the patient to a hospital for treatment.
The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, officers did not mention if the motorist stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the person.
Officers forced the area of Murrieta Hot Springs and Townview to shut down following the incident. The cause of the pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
