MUSCOY, San Bernardino County (September 1, 2016) – A fatality has been reported following a pedestrian versus vehicle accident at North Macy and Porter streets, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The incident took place on September 1, Thursday evening at roughly 8:30 p.m.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was crossing the intersection heading westbound on Porter upon being hit by a Kia sedan headed southbound.
The impact of the initial collision sent the victim into northbound lanes, where he was then struck a second time by a passing Land Rover.
The man suffered fatal traumatic injuries as his identity has not been released as the notification of the next of kin is still pending.
At this time, it remains unclear whether or not the involved motorists remained at the scene following the collision.
California Highway Patrol officials are investigating.
