Pedestrian Injured Muscoy Hit-and-Run at State Street and Highland Avenue
MUSCOY, CA (July 31, 2021) – A pedestrian was injured after a hit-and-run crash at State Street and Highland Avenue in Muscoy.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place early Saturday. Officers reported the incident at about 2:21 a.m.
CHP said a black vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Muscoy. The driver hit the person at the intersection of North State Street and West Highland Avenue.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the 210 Freeway. They found the victim left wounded as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then treated the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the crash. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that that the motorist did not stop to help the victim and fled westbound on Highland Avenue. The Muscoy hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the area of State Street and Highland Avenue to shut down following the collision.
