Myriam Cascella, 80, Killed in Pasadena Pedestrian Crash at Allen and Las Lunas
PASADENA, CA (June 2, 2021) – A pedestrian crash at Allen Avenue and Las Lunas Street killed Myriam Cascella in Pasadena.
The coroner’s office said the 80-year-old Pasadena woman died following the collision which occurred on Tuesday.
The incident happened on June 1 when Myriam Cascella was crossing the intersection of Allen Avenue and Las Lunas Street in Pasadena. At the same time, a Honda CRV was going north on Allen.
Elderly Woman Hit by Car
Police reported that the Honda struck the elderly woman for an unknown reason. The Pasadena Star News and My News LA wrote that the accident took place shortly after 8 a.m.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and found Myriam Cascella lying on the road as a result of the pedestrian collision. They soon pronounced her dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the female driver of the CRV stopped after hitting the Cascella. She stayed at the site and then cooperated with the officials.
The cause of the fatal Pasadena crash is still under investigation.
