Woman, 29, Struck and Killed at Freeway On-Ramp
CARSON, Calif. (June 20, 2024) – Nadia Ritchie, 29, has been identified as the pedestrian who died in a traffic accident on the West Carson Street on ramp to the Harbor (110) Freeway in Carson.
The deadly crash occurred at around 3:40 a.m. on the southbound side of the freeway and the West Carson Street on ramp, the California Highway Patrol reported.
It’s unknown what circumstances led up to the traffic accident. The pedestrian suffered major injuries and died at the scene.
Meanwhile, police issued a SigAlert at around 4:12 a.m. and the on ramp was closed for several hours, the CHP said.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner identified the victim as Nadia Ritchie on its website.
The investigation into the pedestrian accident on Carson Street is ongoing.
