Head-On Collision on 40th Street East
Palmdale, CA (November 15, 2022) – Nain Rosa, and Monique Hope Lopez both suffered injuries following a car accident that occurred on 40th Street East Saturday.
The Antelope Valley Times News reported a 2022 Kia Forte was heading north on 40th; while a 2020 Toyota Corolla was traveling south. For reasons still unclear, one vehicle veered into the opposite lane and caused the head-on collision. The horrible crash took place just south of Avenue O in Palmdale.
1 Killed in Palmdale 2-Car Accident
Shortly after 6:46 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the scene. Responding paramedics found the driver of the Kia unconscious. Despite life-saving measures performed by medical personnel, the 25-year-old man sadly succumbed to his trauma and died.
Authorities added a male passenger in the Kia, Nain Rosa of Los Angeles; the driver of the Toyota, Monique Hope Lopez of Lancaster; and an 11-year-old female passenger in the Toyota all sustained major injuries as a result of the wreck. Emergency crews transported the three patients to different hospitals for further treatment and evaluation.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the deadly car accident that happened on 40th Street East in Palmdale.
