NAPA, California (September 23, 2014) – Six people were injured Tuesday morning in a head-on car crash involving as many as seven drivers on the State Route Napa Vallejo Highway 29 at Napa Valley Highway 221, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.
The collision, just north of the Napa County Airport, was reported to CHP officers about 9:36 a.m. The report states that the driver of a black Dodge Durango pickup truck crossed over lanes and plummeted down an embankment.
The other vehicles including a white Toyota sedan, a black SUV, a black Chevrolet pickup truck and a gold Chevrolet Tahoe SUV and a silver sedan with airbags deployed were blocking both northbound and southbound lanes following the crash.
Police called for paramedics to respond to assist and transport at least six people who were hurt in the collision. They also issued a SigAlert for the crash which was later removed about 11:47 a.m. after all lanes were reopened.
“Hopefully there are no serious injuries in this crash,” said Attorney James Johnson. “Those who are hurt should seek medical attention immediately and contact a personal injury attorney to assist them with a potential claim.”
