Passenger Hospitalized After Collision on Silverado Trail Near Yountville Cross Road Saturday
Napa, CA (June 29, 2021) – On June 26, a suspected DUI car crash occurred on Silverado Trail, the Napa Valley Register reported.
Our sources indicated an 18-year-old was behind the wheel of a 2009 Chevrolet traveling south on the Silverado Trail. In the area just north of Yountville Cross Road, the driver allowed the vehicle to veer off the roadway. The Chevrolet left the pavement and eventually struck trees and bushes.
The collision happened at about 7 a.m.
When rescue teams arrived, they found a female passenger partially trapped in the wreckage. Firefighters worked extensively to extricate the injured woman. The article published online mentioned an American Medical Response ambulance transported the patient to Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center for treatment of unspecified injuries.
DUI Suspect Arrested in Napa County Injury Car Crash, June 26
The California Highway Patrol officer reportedly detained the driver of the Chevrolet following the collision. Officials booked the man into the Napa County jail on suspicion of causing injury by driving under the influence.
Detectives continue to investigate several factors surrounding the car crash on Silverado Trail in Napa County.
