Motorcyclist Killed in Napa Crash on Highway 121 Near Wild Horse Valley
NAPA, CA (August 21, 2021) – A motorcyclist was killed after a head-on crash on Highway 121, known as Monticello Road, in Napa.
The California Highway Patrol said the tragic accident occurred on Saturday morning. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 10:54 a.m.
CHP said the rider of a Harley Davidson and a white Ford Ranger collided head-on for an unknown reason in Napa. The two crashed in the 3200 block of Highway 121.
Motorcycle and Car Collide Head-On
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Wild Horse Valley Road and Rocky Ridge. They found the motorcyclist down on the ground as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel confirmed that the rider later died. The name of the deceased party remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver of the pickup truck ended up hurt upon impact. Officers forced a stretch of Highway 121 to shut down for a time following the wreck.
The cause of the fatal Napa crash is still under investigation.
