Pedestrian Killed in Napa Crash at Jefferson Street and Oak Street
NAPA, CA (May 20, 2022) – A crash killed a pedestrian at Jefferson Street and Oak Street in Napa.
According to an article published by the Napa Valley Register, the accident took place on Thursday. Officers reported the collision in the evening of May 19.
The incident happened when a male pedestrian was walking westbound across Jefferson Street from Oak Street in Napa. Police said for an unknown reason, a silver Toyota Tacoma struck him in the intersection.
Man, 78, Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the 78-year-old man who sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel rushed him to a hospital, where he died. The name of the deceased victim has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver of the pickup truck stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the man. The cause of the fatal Napa pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the area of Jefferson and Oak streets to shut down for a time following the incident.
