1 Injured in Napa Hit-and-Run Crash on Highway 29 at 1st Street

NAPA, CA (October 21, 2021) – One was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash on Highway 29 at the 1st Street on-ramp in Napa.

The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place on Thursday afternoon. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 2:22 p.m.

The incident happened when a big rig with a white trailer struck an Acura for an unknown reason in Napa. The two crashed on the southbound 1st Street on-ramp to southbound Highway 29.

Big Rig Hits Car, Flees Scene

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found an occupant of the Acura hurt on the right hand shoulder as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel then took the patient to the Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center for treatment of unspecified injuries.

The report did not release the name of the wounded victim and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver of the semi-truck did not stop to help and and fled the area.

Officers forced southbound Highway 29 at 1st Street to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Napa hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
