Motorcyclist Hit by Vehicle at Petaluma Avenue and Riverside Drive

February 21, 2019 – A traffic collision involving a motorcyclist occurred in the area of Petaluma Avenue and Riverside Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol group.

A man riding a motorcycle and a driver behind the wheel of a dark-colored Honda Accord apparently drove into the intersection at the same time, and crashed into each other.
Shortly after 3:23 p.m., emergency personnel were dispatched to the accident scene. It was not immediately known if there were serious injuries in the collision.
The crossing was shut down after the incident to give way to the investigation. Liability in the crash is still being determined.

California Highway Patrol will carry out a forensic examination of both the motorcycle and the other vehicle involved, as well as photos that were taken of the scene, will help investigators draw up a firm conclusion for what happened.
